Ibis Hotel, Reading

Combustible ACM cladding was replaced with a compliant rainscreen and spandrel-panel system. Careful logistics kept a constrained city-centre hotel operating throughout the work.

The nine-storey building’s combustible cladding, panels, render and soffits were removed and replaced with non-combustible A1-rated materials around a live residential and commercial environment.

A 3,500m² roof was prepared, waterproofed and resurfaced for use as overflow parking, with the four-phase programme delivered above a busy retail environment without disruption.
