South Pennine Academies has retained KUDU Search to lead the engagement, identification and early assessment of candidates for this appointment.

Initial access to the process is managed through KUDU Search. Direct approaches to the Trust will be redirected accordingly.

Interview timetable

Formal interviews with South Pennine Academies will be held during the week commencing Monday 22 June 2026.

Early engagement is strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time for discussion, assessment and completion of the Trust’s formal application process.

What happens next?

The process is designed to allow meaningful early discussion while maintaining a clear and robust formal recruitment process for the Trust.

1. Initial discussion

A confidential, exploratory conversation to understand your background, motivations and potential alignment with the role.

2. Assessment and alignment

KUDU Search will assess experience, motivation, leadership style and overall fit against the agreed requirements of the opportunity.

3. Formal application

Candidates considered to be a strong fit will be invited to complete the Trust’s formal application process.

4. Trust selection process

South Pennine Academies will retain full responsibility for longlisting, shortlisting, interviews, safeguarding checks and final appointment decisions.

Please note: a CV, LinkedIn profile or background summary may support an initial confidential conversation with KUDU Search, but it does not replace the Trust’s formal application process. Candidates progressing to formal consideration will be required to complete the appropriate South Pennine Academies application process in line with safer recruitment requirements.
