Financial Controller (No1 Finance Role)
The WITT UK GROUP is recognised as one of the market leaders in the design, manufacture, project management, servicing, and commissioning of centrifugal, axial, smoke extract and tunnel fan units.
The Group consists of 3 trading companies which supply global markets from their centralised manufacturing facility, near Halifax. UK turnover is c£10m and the 5-year plan involves doubling in size whilst increasing net profitability.
The role of Financial Controller (FC) is key to WITT UK’s growth plans. By evolving the reporting and controls environment and providing insightful and timely Management Information (MI) the FC will become a trusted and indispensable member of the senior team.
You will be working alongside the Group Managing Director and must relish the opportunity of providing financial and commercially minded insight to help drive business performance and strategy.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) and must be a confident, down to earth, self-starter, with the ability to operate in a fast-moving environment.
Your curiosity, ability to solve problems and interest in building collaborative relationships, at every level, will allow you to contribute positively to the dialogue and agenda of growth and efficiency.
Despite the increasingly commercial elements of the role, the FC must maintain a very hands-on approach to the accounting cycle and will enjoy leading and developing a small and capable team.
Experience in a manufacturing / engineering environment is important and candidates should also appreciate the nuances and the pace of decision making in a Small to Medium Enterprise (SME).
Initially, the role will be based entirely on site, in Shelf, but as relationships and systems evolve, an element of remote working / flexibility can be built in to the working week, if required.
