A Finance Director, of this calibre, is a key appointment for Cromwell Polythene. The business needs someone who will partner effectively with the Owner, Directors, and Management Team to help drive the commercial and strategic conversation. You must achieve this whilst also weaving increased financial control throughout the business.

The FD will focus intently on how the business is performing and how it can continue to adapt and grow. Your curious mindset, attention to detail and commercial nous will combine to provide an effective steer for the most efficient and profitable route forward. Your unique understanding of the operation and the strength of the relationships you can build will allow you to develop a culture of financial understanding and accountability.

The successful candidate will always need to maintain a hands-on familiarity with the numbers but by ensuring your team becomes more “business facing”, the insight and analysis will become more relevant and finance will become embedded as an added value part of the entire operation.

Interpersonally, you must be credible and enthusiastic. You will also be a confident communicator and although the senior team are accomplished professionals you will be seen as a commercial guide.
